[/vc_column_text][vc_zigzag][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Murrayfield DAFS 3 played hosts to Pebbles County at Roseburn (artificial). DAFS won the toss and James put the opposition to bat.Nidhish (8-3-14-1) opened the bowling and bowled excellently from the stadium end with James (8-1-26-2) on at the river end. The openers Haywood and A Common played through the initial 10 overs with some good boundaries.Sakib (5-0-24-1) was the first bowling change, he had a bad start with a few no-balls, but he got us the first breakthrough. Nagesh (8-2-23-2) started from the other end as Nidhish ended his 8 overs spell.Nagesh finally got the wicket of the opening batsman A Common who was looking good and middle order batsman Walsh after couple of close calls. The other middle order batsman of Pebbles County was the most experienced of the side who held on and scored a few runs.Rajesh (8-3-26-0) replaced injured Sakib from the stadium end in the 25th over. He went on to bowl a good spell frustrating the left-hand batsman Caddick, adding pressure on the batsman.Dush (3-0-17-0) took over from Nagesh from the other end. James came back for his second spell from river end and took the crucial wicket of the left-handed batsman who had started playing some shots and finishing the spell in the 40th over with a last ball wicket.Dush (67*) and James (11) opened the batting. They played off the opening bowlers and hit some beautiful shots. James was bowled by the opening pace bowler of Pebbles County.Sagar (4) joined Dush in the middle but could not continue his good form from last week and was sent back to the pavilion soon, making way for Vikas to bat.Vikas (18) played some beautiful shots which raised his confidence. He was happier that he had his new kit which gave him the motivation. Unfortunately, he was caught and bowled soon as he missed his timing on the shot. Dush was playing well at the other end, and was taking advantage after being dropped 3 times in the first 20 overs.Nagesh (10) went in to play, planning to finish the game but was back to the bench soon. Nagesh played some beautiful drives along the fast outfield. Kuldeep (0) was very unfortunate as his jinx got him runout for the 2nd time in a row in a 3s match.Sunny (13*) played with Dush till the end to get the Murrayfield DAFS 3 across the line and secure the winning points. There was some disappointment for Sunny as Dush got to score the winning runs of the match.Overall a very good team effort and a good win for the DAFS 3 team.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
