New Website
We are delighted to announce that we have a new website!
Unfortunately the old website was designed by an old member of the club who is not really involved anymore after retiring from cricket so he could spend more time doing DIY, gardening and building up his Gnome collection. The site was excellent but unfortunately we didn’t have the time to keep it running or the knowledge (in my case). Some of you may have noticed a fatal error on the main page a number of weeks ago which Carl “Contactless” Barton resolved but it was decided to move to a new platform and Squarespace was chosen which is an off the shelf solution and makes it easier for us to maintain.
The new website takes more of a blog style approach so excellent for club news and match reports. I’m still in the process of moving that content across from the old website, not quite as simple a task as I would have liked.
We have a menu section in the top left with links to a number of important pages including committee roles, fixtures, club shop and code of conduct to name a few and this is evolving as I devote more time to this.
If anyone is keen to get involved with maintaining the website then let me know. I’ll be looking for club members to contribute to match reports for the Seniors, Womens or Junior teams and any other content that is relevant. Don’t be shy!
